The 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games Bucket List Experience

The 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games will be a historical experience.

It will mark the first Winter Games to take place in Asia outside of Japan (Sapporo 1972 and Nagano 1998).

With Korean culture (think K-pop) and technology spreading globally, you can expect perhaps the most exciting, democratically open, and technologically advanced Winter Games we’ve ever seen.

All Travel Experience Packages Will Include:

  • Meet & greet by our staff in Seoul Airport (ICN)
  • Roundtrip airport transfers to PyeongChang
  • Hotel accommodations (your choice of Coastal or Mountain Cluster) located near event sites
  • Daily breakfast
  • Depending on dates, Opening & Closing Ceremony viewing parties, or Valentine’s Day party (includes dinner & drinks)
  • Daily on-site assistance throughout your stay
  • Korea themed gift package
  • Additional Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) tour available as add-on
  • Additional Seoul overnight stay and city tour available as add-on
  • Worry-free experience from start to finish!

Planning the Best Trip to the 2018 Winter Games

Imagine trying to plan an epic bucket list experience all on your own. You’ll be mapping out flights, scouring out hotels, figuring out transportation, trying to optimize the routes, planning local tours and trips, understanding the best places to go, the list goes on.

Winter Games Snowboarding

Although possible to cobble together a trip on your own, we’ve planned trips for every Winter Games since Vancouver in 2010. We’ve tested and refined the best offerings. We know what clients look for and we provide exceptional client service. Being a U.S-based company that primarily serves U.S. and Western-country clients, we understand what you look for in a trip.

When you travel with us, you have an entire staff navigating you through the event and optimizing your experience.

We help with translation, currency exchange, planning, mapping, routing, cultural distinctions, and more.

Put it this way: you only get one shot at the 2018 Winter Games. Might as well do it right!

Winter Games Experience Options

Whether you plan to visit for a week or to stay for the entire length of the Games, we have a planned experience for your stay. With three, four, and five-star hotel options in both coastal and mountainous settings, our PyeongChang travel packages are great for families, groups, and single travelers alike.

By the way, we prefer to use the word “experience” instead of “tour package”. A package evokes the idea of a travel agent sitting behind a computer putting together random options that end up being a to-do list of how to go about your vacation. We approach it differently. We are the on-the-ground staff with you from start to finish. We do the research, meet the locals, scour the event site years ahead of time, and meet you at the airport. That’s the Bucket List difference.

PyeongChang Mountain Resort for Winter Games

Our number one goal is to make your PyeongChang Winter Games trip the experience of a lifetime. Need a customized trip because you want to fly in and out whenever you choose? We’ll hook you up! You’ll soon get used to the over-the-top experience we provide to clients.

We offer a variety of 7-day experience packages. For “super fans” who don’t want to miss a single event, we have 19-day experience packages that span the entire length of the Winter Games. That’s some serious commitment, but you know who you are!

What to See and Do in PyeongChang

Never heard of PyeongChang before? You’re not alone! But this Korean resort city is about to rise to international prominence. Lucky for international travelers, PyeongChang and Gangneung offer plenty of natural beauty and cultural interest. Check out this map below to get a feel for the layout of the Winter Games, as well as to browse some of the interesting sites in the area:

Optional Add-on: Overnight Stay in Seoul

For travelers from the USA, the flight to Seoul is long and tiring. One option is to spend your first night near the airport in Seoul to allow for a faster recovery. On the following day, we can schedule a tour of the major sites in the city.

Seoul Korea tour

For those visiting South Korea for the first time, you’ll definitely want to check out Seoul – the 10 million person metropolis. A trip to South Korea isn’t complete without a day in the commercial and political capital of South Korea. Are you Seoul-d on this side trip?

Optional Add-on: DMZ Tour at North Korean Border

One of the most requested tours from past clients in Korea was a tour to the border of North and South Korea. The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is the no-man’s land between the two countries serving as a buffer zone since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

DMZ line checkpoint

With this optional add-on, you’ll take a full trip to the DMZ and experience the amazing history of the conflict. The tour is surreal.
